This egg curry is a nutritious combination of wholesome dals: moong dal, masoor dal and toor dal along with eggs. Dal and egg curry could be relished hot with steamed rice.

  • 100 g - moong dal
  • 100 g - masoor dal
  • 100 g - toor dal
  • 2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 4 - hard boiled egg
  • 2 - onion
  • 2 - green chillie
  • 4 flake - garlic, ground
  • 1/4 cup - mustard oil
  • Tomato - 1, puree
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Dal and Eggs

  • Boil the three dals together with salt and turmeric powder.
  • Heat oil in a shallow pan, fry the garlic and green chillies.
  • Add in the onions and tomato paste.
  • Add the whole eggs into it and fry further till the onion paste turns brown.
  • Add half cup water and cover the pan, allowing it to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Pour the eggs with the onion/tomato sauce into the cooked dal, stir well.
  • Boil once before serving hot with rice.
