Ingredients

  • 150 gms. Urad Dal
  • 250 gms. Sugar
  • A pinch of soda bicarbonate
  • 50 gms. mixed sliced nuts of your choice
  • ½ tsp. Cardamom seeds
  • 25 gms. sliced Raisins
  • Ghee as required

How to Make Dal Ke Jamun

  • Soak dal in the morning.
  • In the night, drain and grind to a paste.
  • Next day, put soda and a few drops of colour into the dal and beat vigorously for 5 minutes with a spoon.
  • Put 1 cup water in sugar and prepare a thick syrup.
  • Mix nuts, cardamoms and raisins into the dal.
  • Drop the mixture in hot ghee with the help of a spoon and deep fry to a golden colour.
  • Toss into the prepared syrup and serve after 1 hour.
