How to Make Dal Makhni Paneer

  • Soak dal overnight.
  • Immerse paneer cubes in a bowl of water with a pinch of turmeric powder.
  • Heat ghee and fry onions till translucent.
  • Add the garlic, powder spices, tomato paste and fry well, stirring continuously.
  • Now add the dal to the spices, stir well, add enough water and cook till dal is done.
  • While simmering, add beaten cream 2 tbsp at a time, stirring continuously
  • Drain paneer and add to the curry.
  • Add salt and sugar to taste and top with butter - simmer till desired consistency is reached.
  • Serve.
