Ingredients

  • 1 bunch - spinach, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - Toor Dal
  • 1/2 cup - moong dal
  • 1 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1 - Tomato
  • How to Make Dal Palak with Ginger Garlic:

    1. Heat oil in a pressure pan and splutter the mustard and cumin seeds.
    2. Now add the onions and saute until pink.
    3. Add the ginger-garlic paste.
    4. Add the tomatoes and cook until they soften, then add the coriander and chilli powder.
    5. Now add the lentils and cook till they soften.
    6. Add the chopped spinach and pressure cook for 1 whistle.
    7. Add water and simmer for 1 minute.
    8. Garnish with cilantro.
    9. Serve hot with rice.
