  • 250 g- Dates
  • 1 kg- Carrot
  • 500 ml - Milk
  • 1 tin- condensed Milk
  • 250 g- Ghee
  • 100 g, chopped- Cashew nuts
  • 50 g- Raisins
  • 1/2 tsp- nutmeg, grated
  • How to Make Date and Carrot Halwa:

    1. Chop dates finely. Peel and grate carrots.Add milk to dates and cook in a thick bottomed vessel.
    2. After 5 minutes, add carrots. Simmer till almost all the milk is absorbed.
    3. Add condensed milk. Reserve 2 Tbsp of ghee and add the rest to the date and carrot mixture.
    4. Cook stirring till the mixture forms a soft lump.
    5. Fry cashew nuts and raisins in reserved ghee and add to the halwa.
    6. Add grated nutmeg. Serve hot or cold.
