  • 1 cup - almonds, blanched and chopped
  • 1 cup - Walnuts or hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 cup - dates, fresh or dried, finely chopped
  • confectioner's Sugar

How to Make Date and Nut Sweets

  • Combine the almonds, walnuts or hazelnuts, and dates.
  • Mix them together as best as you can (the dates get very sticky).
  • Dust a work surface and rolling pin with confectioners' sugar and roll out the mixture into an approximate square 1/2 inch thick.
  • Cut this into 1-inch squares and roll the squares in sugar.
  • Arrange the sweets on a plate and serve.
