  • 1/2 kg - Chicken
  • 2 tbsp - soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp - Green chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp - Corn flour
  • 5 - green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 1/2 inch - ginger, finely chopped
  • 8-10 - Garlic pods, finely chopped
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 cup - Spring onions (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup - Capsicum (finely chopped)
  • 1 - Onion (finely chopped)
  • refined oil
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Deep Fried Chilli Chicken:

    1. Mix soy sauce and chilli sauce with chicken and marinate for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
    2. In a bowl, break the eggs and beat well with a pinch of salt and corn flour.
    3. Squeeze the chicken pieces well (save some marinade for later) and place them in a plate.
    4. Heat some oil in a kadai. Dip the squeezed chicken pieces one by one in the egg mixture and put them in the oil.
    5. Fry a maximum of 4 to 5 pieces at a time. Turn the pieces and fry well till cooked on all sides.
    6. When done, in the remaining oil, add ginger, garlic, onion, spring onions, green chillies and capsicum; fry well till cooked.
    7. Add the leftover soy and chilli sauce marinade.
    8. Then return the chicken pieces to the pan and cook on low heat.
    9. Cook until all the liquid has been absorbed.
    10. Serve hot with rice.
