Ingredients

  • 1 cup - frozen Green peas
  • 1 cup - Paneer cubes
  • 5 tbsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 1 - Cinnamon stick
  • 3 - Cardamom
  • 2 - onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1/2 cup - Tomato puree
  • 4 tbsp - yogurt, whisked
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Delicious Matar Paneer:

    1. Heat oil in a pan and fry paneer cubes on a low flame to a light golden colour. Drain and keep aside.
    2. In the same pan, add cumin, cloves, cinnamon and cardamom and saute.
    3. Add onions and fry to a golden brown.
    4. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for a min and add all the powders.
    5. Give the masala a good stir and blend in the tomato puree and green peas.
    6. Let the mixture bubble and then slowly stir in the yogurt and cook on a low flame for till the peas are boiled.
    7. Add the paneer cubes and cook till the masala coats the paneer.
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
