Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Water
  • 250 gms - Sugar
  • 50 gms - Raisins
  • 50 gms - Cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup - Coconut scraped (fresh)
  • 1 tsp - Aniseed (Suwa, Shopa)
  • 500 ml - Milk
  • 500 gms - Flour, Maida (Refined)
  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • How to Make Dessert Malpoa:

    1. For the Syrup:
    2. Boil the water and sugar until it forms a thick syrup.
    3. Meanwhile mix the raisins, cashew nuts, coconut, aniseed and milk with maida to make a thick batter.
    4. Then heat ghee in a pan and spread about 2 tbsp of batter on the pan to make the pancake.
    5. Deep fry both sides until light brown. Keep aside.
    6. Now soak the pancake in the syrup for 4-5 minutes.
    7. Remove and drain the excess syrup.
    8. Can be served hot or cold.
