  • 3 Drumsticks
  • 1 tbsp - Channa dal
  • 250 g - de-husked urad dal, soaked for 3 to 4 hours along with Channa dal
  • green chillies, chopped fine
  • 2 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 tsp - chopped, Ginger
  • 2 tsp - chopped, Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - chopped, Curry leaves
  • oil for frying
  • salt
  • How to Make Drumstick and Urad Dal Vada:

    1. Wash, scrape and cut drumsticks into 3-inch pieces
    2. Boil with some salt till soft, (but not mushy)
    3. Scoop out the flesh and keep aside.
    4. Grind dal with salt and minimum amount of water to a thick fine paste.
    5. Add all the ingredients except oil, mix well.
    6. Make small round vada and deep fry in hot oil till light golden in colour.
    7. Serve vada hot with any chutney/sauce.
