  • Rice flour - 2 cups
  • Minced Onion - ½ cup
  • Minced Green chillies - 1 tsp
  • Grated Coconut - 4 tbsp
  • Butter to cook the rotis
  • Water, as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Easy Akki Roti:

    1. Combine all the ingredients together to make soft dough.
    2. Take a small lump of the dough place it on a sheet of plastic paper or a piece of banana leaf.
    3. Flatten it with moist hand to a disc of about 3 mm thick.
    4. Carefully transfer the roti to your palm and invert it on a hot tava.
    5. Add about 2 tsps of butter.
    6. When the underside is cooked, invert the roti and cook the other side, using more butter.
    7. Serve hot with chutney or any of the curries.
