  • 2 - boiled Potatoes
  • 2 - Onions
  • 1 tsp - sambar powder
  • Garam Masala powder - a pinch
  • 1/4 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 2 cups - Wheat flour
  • Salt as needed
  • Water - to knead the dough
  • Coriander leaves -2 sprigs
  • 1/4 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - Lemon juice.
  • How to Make Easy Aloo Paratha:

    1. Cut the onions into very fine pieces.
    2. Mash the boiled potatoes using a fork, and add the cumin seeds to it and mix well.
    3. Heat oil in a kadai and saute the onions for 2 minutes.
    4. Add to the mashed potato mixture to this and mix well.
    5. Add the sambar powder, salt, ginger-garlic, garam masala, chopped coriander leaves and mix well with mashed potatoes and keep it on low flame for 3 mins.
    6. Allow it to cool and then add the lemon juice.
    7. Knead the whole wheat flour with water.
    8. Take small ball-sized dough and roll it into a thick roti.
    9. Place a tbsp of masala in the centre and cover the edges. Roll it gently again.
    10. Heat a tava and shallow fry the parathas - smearing ghee on both sides.
    11. Serve hot.
