Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 - Potatoes
  • 4 - bread slices
  • 1.5 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1 tsp - Dhania powder (coriander)
  • Oil to fry
  • Salt to taste
  • For garnishing:
  • 1 - Onion (cut into long thin slices)
  • 50g - Ginger (chopped into small pieces or grated)
  • 1 - small radish (grated)
  • Imli chutney
  • Curd
  • How to Make Easy Aloo Tikkies:

    1. Boil and peel the potatoes and put them in a bowl.
    2. Add garam masala, dhania powder, salt, and chilli powder to the potatoes.
    3. Take the bread slices in your hand and put them in the water for few seconds.
    4. Then press them with your hands to take out the excess water and add them to the potatoes.
    5. Mix and knead all the ingredients in the bowl (potatoes, masalas, bread) into pliable dough.
    6. Take a griddle and heat around 4 to 5 tbsp oil.
    7. Take around 2 tbsp of the dough and shape it into patties.
    8. Shallow-fry patties till both sides are golden brown.
    9. Drizzle more oil if required.
    10. Garnish it with a drizzle of imli chutney and a teaspoon of curd, and a bit of onions, ginger, and radish on the side.
