Ingredients

  • 250 g - Okra
  • 3 - Potatoes
  • 4 - Green chillies
  • 10 - flakes Garlic
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger
  • 1/2 bunch - Coriander leaves
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp -turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 3 - Tomatoes
  • How to Make Easy Bhindi Masala:

    1. Snip off the top and tail of the okra, chop it into 1cm pieces and keep aside.
    2. Boil the potatoes and cut into small pieces.
    3. Grind the red chillies with some water and the tamarind to make a paste.
    4. Heat oil in a kadai and fry the chopped onions till light brown.
    5. Add the potato pieces, salt, red chilli-tamarind paste.
    6. Add a little water and bring to a boil and then let it simmer for 10-15 mins till a thick gravy is formed.
    7. Add in the okra, check seasoning, and cook until the okra is done.
