  • 2 - Bitter gourds
  • 1 - big onion, finely chopped
  • 4 tsp - sesame powder (til) (roasted)
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Oil
  • 5 - Green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard Seeds
  • cumin
  • 2 tsp - Jaggery or Sugar
  • How to Make Easy Bitter Gourd Curry:

    1. Cut the bitter gourd into long thin pieces, apply salt and keep aside for half an hour.
    2. Drain out excess water from the bitter gourd.
    3. Put oil in the pan, temper with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, ginger garlic paste, then add bitter gourd pieces and fry.
    4. Add onion, salt, jaggery to it.
    5. Close with the lid and cook till the onions and the bitter gourd is soft. Now add sesame powder to it, leave it for a minute, remove from fire.
