Ingredients

  • 1.5 cup - poha
  • 2 tsp - mustard
  • 3 tsp - urad dal
  • 1 medium size- onions
  • 3 - green chilli
  • curry leaves
  • 3 tsp - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Easy Poha (Aval) Upma

  • Heat oil in a kadai and fry mustard, urad dal, onion, green chilli for about 3 to 5 mins. Fry until onion turns pink.
  • Wash poha or aval(flaked rice) and soak it for 2 mins, drain the water.
  • Put aval (poha) into kadai and salt.
  • Cook on stove for 5 mins.
  • Serve Poha Upma hot.
