Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - Rajma
  • 1 - big Onion
  • 2 - big Tomatoes
  • 2 Cloves - Garlic
  • Ginger - Garlic paste
  • 50 g - Raisins and Cashewnuts
  • 1/2 tsp - Poppy Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - charmagaz
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 1/2 tsp - food colour
  • How to Make Easy Rajma:

    1. Soak the rajma overnight and pressure cook the rajma up to 6 or 7 whistles.
    2. Soak the poppy seeds and charmagaz for 10 minutes.
    3. Now grind the onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, kaju and kismis and the soaked poppy seeds and charmagaz mixture finely.
    4. Heat oil and fry the masala for 10 minutes on a medium flame.
    5. Then add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and food colour and mix well.
    6. Now add the rajma, water and mix well.
    7. Cook on a low flame for 5 to 10 minutes.
    8. Serve hot with rice or roti.
