Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Cake Flour
  • 1.5 to 2.5 cups - all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp - Yeast
  • 1 cup - warm Milk
  • 1/4 cup - superfine Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 100 g - Butter
  • 2 tsp - vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp - Milk
  • 1 tbsp - white sesame seeds
  • How to Make Eggless Burger Buns:

    1. Ferment the yeast in warm water with sugar for 10 mins.
    2. Now add salt and vanilla and stir.
    3. In a bowl, mix the cake flour and 1 cup flour with the milk mixture, till the dough is thick and pulls away from the sides of the bowl.
    4. Now add the butter little by little and knead till the butter is well incorporated into the dough.
    5. Keep adding a little bit of flour while kneading, till you get a soft, pliable, elastic dough, which is no longer sticky.
    6. Form the dough into a ball.
    7. Lightly grease a bowl with oil and roll the ball of dough in it till all sides are lightly coated with oil.
    8. Cover and keep in a warm place till it is doubled in size.
    9. Punch the dough back and take a small portion.
    10. Roll it into a ball and place on the baking tray.
    11. Place the rolled balls at least 2 inches apart.
    12. Cover with a cling film and keep aside till it doubles in size.
    13. Preheat the oven to 180 C.
    14. Using a brush, lightly brush the milk on the surface of all the buns.
    15. Sprinkle the sesame seeds on top.
    16. Bake the buns in a preheated oven for 20 minutes or till the crust of buns become golden brown.
    17. Layer them up with the ingredients of your choice.
