Ingredients

  • 200 g - condensed Milk
  • 240 g - plain flour
  • 40 g - cocoa
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 2 tsp - icing Sugar
  • 1/2 cup - butter, melted
  • 1/2 tsp - vanilla essence
  • 100 ml - Milk
  • 100 ml - coke or thumbs up
  • How to Make Eggless Chocolate Sponge Cake:

    1. Sieve flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, cocoa all together 2 to 3 times. Keep aside.
    2. Pour condensed milk in a bowl. Add butter and beat well till smooth
    3. Add flour, gradually, mixing into the condensed milk mixture.
    4. In between, add milk as required if the butter begins to get too stiff
    5. Stir the mixture in one direction all the while. This will incorporate more air and make the cake lighter
    6. Once all the flour is used, beat the batter till light. Add coke or thumbs up and mix gently till smooth.
    7. Pour into a greased cake tin.
    8. Do not smooth with a spoon etc.
    9. Pre-heat oven to 300 degree C
    10. Bake at 200 degree C for 25-30 mins and 150 degree C till done
    11. Poke with a skewer and check.
    12. Cool a little and invert on the wire rack.
