How to Make Eggless Whole Wheat Garlic Rolls

  • Add the yeast, sugar and salt to lukewarm water, stir and keep aside until the yeast turns foamy.
  • Make the garlic-coriander leaves spread, by adding grated garlic and coriander leaves to the butter, mix well and keep it aside.
  • Take the whole-wheat flour in a bowl, gradually add the foamy yeast, olive oil and water (if needed) and knead into a soft smooth dough.
  • Cover the bowl and keep the dough in a warm place for two hours.
  • Once the dough swells, punch down the dough, dust the dough with flour and roll it into a thick rectangular disc.
  • Spread garlic-coriander spread liberally on the dough and roll it into a loaf.
  • Cut the rolled loaf into 8-10 pieces, arrange them in a greased round baking pan, sprinkle sesame seeds as per need.
  • Brush the remaining garlic-coriander spread over the rolls if needed, and let it sit again for few minutes in a warm place.
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F, arrange the baking pan in middle rack of the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes until the crust turns golden brown.
  • Serve warm with a cup of tea.
