Ingredients

  • 1 cup - soaked Chickpeas
  • 1/2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 cup - minced Onions
  • 2 tbsp - minced Parsley (use Coriander leaves if Parsley not available)
  • chillies as spicy as you desire
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander
  • 2 - minced Garlic
  • Cloves
  • 1 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 3 tbsp - maida/all purpose flour

How to Make Falafel

  • Grind all the ingredients to a coarse form without water.
  • Heat oil in a kadai for frying.
  • Once the oil gets heated enough for frying, make patties out of the coarse mixture and fry them just like vadas.
  • Serve falafel as an appetiser or as a evening snack.
