Ingredients

  • 300 g - Flour
  • 100 g - Butter
  • 1 - Egg, beaten
  • 100 g - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Green food color
  • 1/2 tsp - Vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup - Milk

How to Make Fancy Biscuits

  • Rub butter into the sifted flour and baking powder with fingertips.
  • Mix in the egg, vanilla essence, food colour, milk and knead to a soft dough.
  • Set aside for 1 hour then rollout the dough and cut into fancy shapes with cookie cutters or a knife placed on a greased baking tray.
  • Bake on medium heat for about 30 minutes till slightly brown on top.
  • Sprinkle sugar on top while still hot.
