Ingredients

  • 1 cup - fresh leaves/methi washed and chopped finely
  • 4 - potatoes, peeled and cut into quarters
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - chopped Ginger
  • 1 tsp - chopped Garlic
  • 2 - whole red dry chillies
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Fenugreek Leaves (Methi) And Potatoes:

    1. Heat oil in a suitable pan and add cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, red chillies and green chillies and fry for a few minutes.
    2. Add the potatoes, fenugreek leaves, coriander powder, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
    3. Add sufficient water and cook covered on low heat till the potatoes are cooked and all the water dries up.
    4. Serve as a side dish with rice or chapattis or rotis.
