Ingredients

  • Toor Dal - 2 cups
  • Fenugreek -1/4 cup
  • Mint - 1 Bunch
  • 1 - Tomato
  • Garlic - 5 to 6 Cloves
  • Green Chilli - 2
  • Onion, chopped - 2
  • Curry leaves
  • Tamarind pulp - 1 tsp
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Fenugreek, Mint, Toor dal Pappu

  • Boil toor dal, fenugreek seeds and green chilli, 1/2 of the chopped onion, tomato in a cooker vessel (add little soda powder) for two cooker whistles.
  • Let it cool for some time and mash it. Keep it aside.
  • In another pan add 2 tbsp of oil, add onions and a bunch of mint leaves. Fry and add to the above mixture.
  • Now boil the toor dal mixture for 3 mins with tamarind and a little daniya powder and pinch of turmeric and salt.
  • Take off the stove.
  • Splutter mustard and jeera seeds in a little oil
  • Add to the toor dal mixture.
