Ingredients

  • 1 cup - besan (gram flour)
  • 1/4 cup - maida (all-purpose flour)
  • 3 cups - sugar
  • 3 cups - vanaspati ghee/oil
  • 1.5 cups - water for syrup

How to Make Festive Special Mysore Pak

  • Mix maida and besan.
  • Mix sugar and water and make a light syrup (not thick).
  • In one vessel, heat the ghee till it starts bubbling.
  • Add the maida and besan mix in the syrup and keep stirring. Avoid formation of lumps.
  • Keep mixing the ghee in 3 batches.
  • Once cooked, there will be bubbles forming on the mixture.
  • Remove from fire and pour this mixture on a tray and spread.
  • Cut it into pieces when hot.
