Ingredients

  • 1.5 kg - pomfret, cut into medium pieces
  • 1 cup - Coconut Milk
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 - medium Raw Mango (ground to a paste with 4 green chillies)
  • 1.5 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 3 - Bay Leaves
  • 1.5 tsp - Curry leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - whole cumin
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 200 ml - oil
  • How to Make Fish Cooked in Coconut Milk:

    1. Heat oil in non stick kadai
    2. Rub fish with salt and fry them. Keep aside.
    3. Fry the chopped onions in oil till brown
    4. Add bay leaves, curry leaves, cumin and mustard seeds. Fry it for 2 minutes
    5. Now add the garlic paste and fry it for another 2 minutes
    6. Add the mango paste and some salt
    7. Add the coconut milk and lower the flame
    8. Add the fish pieces and garam masala powder. Stir and cook, covered, for another 5 minutes
    9. Serve it with plain rice
