How to Make Fish in Garlic

  • Clean, wash and cut each pomfret into 3 medium sized slices.
  • Rub salt and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder on the fish pieces. Put it aside for an hour.
  • Shallow fry the fish pieces on a medium flame till done. Keep aside. Heat 6 tbsp oil in a kadai.
  • Add onions, green chillies and garlic. Saute till the onions turn pink.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes, powdered spices and some salt.
  • Cook on a low flame till the tomatoes are tender and the oil has separated.
  • Add the fried pieces of fish and mix very gently. Simmer for five minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve with hot phulkas and onion rings.
