Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Foxtail millet (cooked))
  • 1/2 cup - Yellow split moong dal (cooked)
  • 3 - Potatoes (cooked and mashed)
  • 1/4 cup - Sweet Corn
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Aamchoor powder
  • 2 tbsp - Corn flour
  • Breadcrumbs (for crust)
  • Oil for deep frying
  • How to Make Foxtail Millet, Moong dal and Sweet Corn Chops:

    1. Take the cooked millet, cooked moong dal, sweet corn, mashed potatoes, garam masala powder, amchur powder with salt in a bowl and mix everything well together.
    2. Heat few drops of oil, saute the onions, and green chillies until the onions turn translucent.
    3. Add the ginger garlic paste and cook for few minutes until the raw smell goes away.
    4. Add the sauteed onions to the millet-moong dal mixture and mix everything well.
    5. Roll them into oval shaped balls and keep side.
    6. Make a paste with corn flour and water, dip the balls in the corn flour paste and roll well over the bread crumbs.
    7. Keep this chops in the fridge for an hour.
    8. Heat 2 tbsps of oil for shallow frying.
    9. Fry the chops in small batches until they turn golden brown.
