  • 1/2 cup - Foxtail millet (cooked))
  • 1/2 cup - Yellow split moong dal (cooked)
  • 3 - Potatoes (cooked and mashed)
  • 1/4 cup - Sweet corn
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Aamchoor powder
  • 2 tbsp - Corn flour
  • Breadcrumbs (for crust)
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make Foxtail Millet, Moong dal and Sweet Corn Chops

  • Take the cooked millet, cooked moong dal, sweet corn, mashed potatoes, garam masala powder, amchur powder with salt in a bowl and mix everything well together.
  • Heat few drops of oil, saute the onions, and green chillies until the onions turn translucent.
  • Add the ginger garlic paste and cook for few minutes until the raw smell goes away.
  • Add the sauteed onions to the millet-moong dal mixture and mix everything well.
  • Roll them into oval shaped balls and keep side.
  • Make a paste with corn flour and water, dip the balls in the corn flour paste and roll well over the bread crumbs.
  • Keep this chops in the fridge for an hour.
  • Heat 2 tbsps of oil for shallow frying.
  • Fry the chops in small batches until they turn golden brown.
