  • 3 phulkas or chappatis from Wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup - chopped, boiled vegetables
  • 1 tbsp - boiled, chopped Spinach
  • 1/4 tbsp - Ginger and garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - chat or maggie masala
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - Wheat flour
  • 2 tsp - Ghee or oil
  • 1 tsp - Butter
  • How to Make Frankies from Chappatis:

    1. Heat butter. Add vegetables, ginger, garlic and spinach.
    2. Stir for a minute. Add masala, salt and pepper.
    3. Sprinkle wheat flour and mix well. Cool.
    4. Do not roast the chappatis to too crispy while making. Just semi-roast it.
    5. Spread 1 tbsp. of filling through the diameter of the chappati.
    6. Fold in ends where the filling touches the edge. Roll tightly.
    7. Similarly roll all the 3 chappatis.
    8. Place all 3 chappatis on a warm griddle.
    9. Sprinkle the ghee.
    10. Roast one side of chappati to golden on low flame.
    11. Invert with spatula.
    12. Roast the other side too. Cool.
    13. Pack into lunch box with some ketchup, jam or chutney.
    14. Variations:
    15. The types of vegetables and the masala can vary as per individuals taste. Only don't make the vegetable soggy.
    16. The chapatti will become a mess.
    17. Use fresh boiled corn, grated carrots, onions, broccoli etc.
    18. Wheat flour is added to the filling to absorb excess moisture.
