Ingredients

  • For the filling:
  • 1/2 cup - Channa dal (soaked for 2 hours and coarsely ground)
  • 500g - Paneer-
  • 5 - Red Chilli
  • 2 tsp - chaat masala
  • 1 piece - Ginger
  • 6 - Green chilli
  • For the tikki:
  • 4 - medium potatoes, boiled.
  • 1/4th tsp - Corn flour.

How to Make Fried Paneer Tikki

  • Heat oil in pan. Add ginger, green chillies and fry for minute.
  • Add channa dal, salt, red chilli and chaat masala.
  • Fry till dal is done well.
  • Add the paneer and mix well.
  • Mash the potatoes. Then take 1.5 tbsps of potatoes in the palm and flatten it.
  • Place 1/2 tsp of filling on it and cover.
  • Shape into tikkis and toss it in corn flour.
  • Shallow fry it till crisp and brown.
  • Serve with green chutney and khajur-imli chutney.
