Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - flour
  • 1/3 cup - Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups - Cream
  • 1/3 cup - castor Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - water
  • 2 apples (chopped)
  • 2 slices - Pineapple
  • 1 cherry
  • 1/2 tsp - Strawberry essence
  • 1/4 tsp - red food colour
  • How to Make Fruit Gateau Pudding:

    1. Beat together eggs, sugar and water over a pan of hot water.
    2. Add quarter tsp of strawberry essence and a little colour.
    3. Sieve flour and fold in gently.
    4. Pour batter into a well greased tin and bake at 180 degrees until done.
    5. Cool and cut horizontally into 2 layers.
    6. Beat cream and sugar with quarter tsp of strawberry essence and little colour.
    7. Divide cream into 2 portions.
    8. To one portion, add chopped fruit and spread on the bottom layer.
    9. The other portion is to be used as the decoration along with the cherry on the top layer.
