How to Make Fruit Gateau Pudding

  • Beat together eggs, sugar and water over a pan of hot water.
  • Add quarter tsp of strawberry essence and a little colour.
  • Sieve flour and fold in gently.
  • Pour batter into a well greased tin and bake at 180 degrees until done.
  • Cool and cut horizontally into 2 layers.
  • Beat cream and sugar with quarter tsp of strawberry essence and little colour.
  • Divide cream into 2 portions.
  • To one portion, add chopped fruit and spread on the bottom layer.
  • The other portion is to be used as the decoration along with the cherry on the top layer.
