  • 1 cup - rava
  • 1 cup - Sugar
  • 1 cup - mixed fruit pieces
  • 3 to 4 tbsp - Ghee
  • Cashew nuts - a few
  • Raisins - a few
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • Kesari color - a pinch
  • How to Make Fruit Kesari:

    1. Peel the skin and remove seeds from the fruits. Cut it into small cubes.
    2. For one cup rawa, 1 to 1.5 cups of fruit pieces can be used.
    3. In a kadai, put a tsp of ghee and fry cashew nuts and raisins separately and keep it aside.
    4. In the same kadai put one more tsp of ghee and fry the fruit pieces on low flame for two to three minutes and remove.
    5. In the same kadai, put one tbsp ghee and fry the rawa for one or two minutes.
    6. In a heavy bottomed vessel, pour 3 cups of water and bring to boil.
    7. When it is boiling add the rawa and stir continuously till the rawa is cooked soft.
    8. Now add sugar and stir continuously.
    9. Make sure there is no lump.
    10. Add few drops of kesari colour and mix well.
    11. Add fried fruit pieces along with little ghee and stir well.
    12. Cook on low flame till it is thick and leaves the sides of the vessel.
    13. Now add cardamom powder, fried cashew nuts and raisins and mix well and remove from stove.
