  • 200 g - fresh ginger, peeled
  • 200 g - fresh turmeric, peeled
  • 200 g - fresh peppercorn
  • 15 Lemons
  • 1 tbsp - salt
  • Salt for marinating
  • How to Make Ginger Pickle:

    1. Slice ginger and turmeric into thin slivers.
    2. Put this in a glass jar, along with peppercorns.
    3. Sprinkle 1/4 cup salt, shake this well.
    4. Keep this for 36 hours, shaking the jar once or twice in between.
    5. After 36 houurs drain out the liquid and wash under running water.
    6. Dab out excess moisture in a cloth, fill this into a sterile jar.
    7. Add strained lemon juice, salt and shake.
    8. Shake this at least once or twice in a day.
    9. Pickle will tenderize in 3-4 days.
