Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - rice, soaked in water, drained, dried
  • 1 tin sweetened condensed Milk
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1/2 cup - Almond powder
  • 4 pedhas
  • 2 tbsp - pistachios, minced
  • 2 tbsp - Raisins
  • 1 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Saffron
  • Sugar as needed

How to Make Giri ki kheer

  • Grind rice to a rough semolina like powder.
  • Add 4 cups of water and boil till done.
  • There should be no lumps. Add sweetened milk, plain milk and almond powder (mixed with a little water). Blend well and cook.
  • If needed, add more sugar.
  • Add cardamom powder, saffron, raisins and nuts.
  • Add crushed pedhas and simmer till fragrant and creamy.
  • Add milk if needed.
  • Chill and serve.
