  • 1 cup - idli rice
  • 1 cup - green grams (soaked overnight)
  • 1/2 cup - urad dal
  • 1/4 tsp - fenugreek seeds

How to Make Green chana Idli

  • Soak separately the idli rice and urad dal with fenugreek seeds for at least 4 hours.
  • Grind the urad dal with fenugreek seeds into a fluffy batter.
  • Grind the green grams and soaked idli rice together into a coarse paste.
  • Mix together the urad dal batter and the green gram-rice batter with enough salt and keep overnight for fermentation.
  • Grease the idli plates with oil, fill it with idli batter and steam for 10 mins.
