Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Whole green moong dal sprout
  • 2 cups - Grated baby Corn
  • 1 tbsp - Rasam powder
  • 1 tbsp - Sambar powder
  • 1 tsp - Jeera
  • 3 tsp - Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - Cornflour
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Green Moong dal Sprout and Baby corn Kootu:

    1. In a pressure pan, heat oil, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, rasam powder, sambar powder, dal and baby corn.
    2. Add salt, turmeric powder also. Pressure cook till 5 whistles.
    3. Meanwhile, grind coconut, jeera and cornflour and add this mix to the cooked dal, boil it for 3 minutes.
    4. This is a good side dish for chapattis.
