Ingredients

  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp or to taste
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Asafoetida - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves - few
  • Ginger - 1 tsp, minced
  • Shelled Green peas - 2 cup
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Curds - 1.5 cup, beaten till smooth.
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp, chopped
  • How to Make Green Peas Kadi:

    1. Mix chilli, turmeric and coriander powders with 2 tbsp of water.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai and season with asafoetida and curry leaves.
    3. Add the masala paste, ginger and fry for few seconds.
    4. Add about 1 cup of water and green peas.
    5. Cover and simmer till the green peas are cooked.
    6. Add salt and sugar. Simmer for 2 more mins.
    7. Add the beaten curd and remove from fire.
    8. Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
