Spinach (washed, blanched and pureed) - 1 cup
Green peas (boiled and pureed) - 1 cup
Gram flour - 2 cups
Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
Ginger- garlic paste - 1 tbsp
Green chilli paste - 1 tbsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Dry mango powder - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
How to Make Green Rounds
Mix all ingredients except oil in a large bowl and knead a dough as for chapati, using water if needed.
Make balls to the size of a large lemon and roll each ball to resemble a sausage.
Grease a plate with oil and arrange the rolls side by side.
Steam the rolls in pressure cooker for 20 minutes. Remove from cooker and cool for 5 minutes.
Cut each roll with a sharp knife into 1/2 inch rounds. Fry them till light brown in hot oil.
To serve, arrange on a bed of lettuce and serve with mint and coconut chutney.
