Ingredients

  • 250 g - Green Tamarind (not fully ripened) in shell
  • 250 g - Jaggery, grated
  • 8 -10 Cloves - Garlic, peeled
  • 8 t- 10 - Whole Red Chillies
  • 2 - 3 sprigs - Coriander leaves
  • 2 - 3 sprigs - Mint leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Chilli flakes
  • 1 tbsp - Oil
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Green Tamarind Chutney:

    1. Roast the tamarind one by one directly on the flame. When the skin chars evenly, break it open.
    2. Now remove the softened tamarind flesh.
    3. Deseed in a vessel and allow to cool.
    4. Now grind all the ingredients, except oil, into a paste.
    5. Heat oil and pour it in the chutney.
    6. Mix well. Store in an airtight bowl.
    7. Refrigerate when not in use.
    8. Serve cold.
