How to Make Green Tomato and Moong dal Curry

  • Dry roast yellow split moong dal until golden brown.
  • In a pressure cooker, add moong dal, chopped green tomatoes, turmeric powder and pepper powder with enough water.
  • Pressure cook until 3 whistles and turn off the stove.
  • Mash the gravy and add water if needed to adjust the consistency of the curry.
  • Heat coconut oil, add mustard seeds and let it splutter.
  • Add dry chillies and cumin seeds.
  • Add the tempered spices to the curry.
