Ingredients

  • 6 large Chicken legs, skinned
  • 1/2 cup - flour (maida)
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - mustard powder
  • 2 tsp - pepper
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt to taste
  • For the sauce:
  • 8 Tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp - Garlic paste
  • 2 cups - spring onions, chopped
  • 12 mushrooms, chopped
  • 12 Walnut kernels, crushed
  • Oil and salt as needed

How to Make Hari patti ka murg

  • Cook tomatoes and pass through a sieve to get juice.
  • Heat 5 tbsps. oil. Add mushrooms. Fry and set aside.
  • Fry walnuts. Drain and set aside.
  • Add garlic and onions.
  • Add tomato juice, mushrooms and walnuts.
  • Season with salt and simmer till blended.
  • Now roll chicken pieces in a mixture of flour, chilli, mustard and pepper powder.
  • Fry in hot oil and remove.
  • Pressure cook in a little water for 7 minutes till done.
  • Add chicken with gravy to the tomato mixture.
  • Blend well and serve.
