  • 185g - Plain flour
  • 100g - Butter, pieces
  • 110 g - Caster Sugar
  • 1 egg- yolk
  • 1 tbsp - Milk, approximately
  • 110g - Chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 2 tbsp - Hazelnut meal.
  • How to Make Hazelnut pinwheels:

    1. Combine the flour, sugar and butter until it becomes crumbly.
    2. Add the egg yolk and milk and knead the dough until smooth.
    3. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
    4. Now flatten the dough between two sheets of baking paper to form a 20 cm by 30 cm rectangle.
    5. Now place the chocolate hazelnut spread in the middle of the dough rectangle.
    6. Then sprinkle the hazelnut meal on top of it.
    7. Roll the dough tightly to enclose the filling.
    8. Now put in a plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 mins.
    9. Preheat the oven to 180 degree Celsius. Grease and line two baking trays.
    10. Remove the plastic from the dough slice roll into 1 cm pieces.
    11. Place these slices about 2 cm apart on trays.
    12. Bake for 20 mins.
    13. Cool on a wire rack .
