Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Cake Flour
  • 1/2 cup - whole Wheat flour
  • 125g - butter, chopped
  • 3/4 cup - water
  • 1 cup - Brown sugar
  • 100g - Cadbury dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1 /2 tsp - baking soda
  • 1/4 cup - cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup - Almond meal
  • 1/4 cup - Raisins
  • For serving:
  • 1/4 cup - chopped nuts
  • Chocolate syrup

How to Make Healthy Chocolate Cupcakes

  • Preheat oven to 180 degree.
  • Line muffin pans with paper cases.
  • Mix butter, water, sugar and chocolate in a microwave bowl.
  • Cook for 2 minutes or until butter and chocolate melt and mixture is smooth.
  • Remove from microwave and set aside to cool.
  • Sift the flours, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder and add the almond meal and use a balloon whisk to stir until combined.
  • Make a well in the center and pour in the chocolate mixture.
  • Whisk gently, add raisins till the mixture combines.
  • Pour evenly among the lined pans.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes.
  • Serve with chocolate sauce and chopped nuts.
