  • 200 g - granulated sugar
  • 1 drop - red food color
  • 1 drop - green food color
  • 1 drop - blue/yellow food color
  • 1/2 tsp - vanilla essence
  • Water as needed

How to Make Home Made Tutti Fruity

  • Blanch papayas in 1 cup of water and let it boil for 3 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and soak the pieces for 5 minutes in same water.
  • Now drain the papaya pieces.
  • Take sugar in a pan and add 300 gm water.
  • Cook until sugar dissolves completely.
  • Add blanched papaya pieces in sugar syrup and cook until sugar syrup gets a little sticky.
  • Turn off the gas and let the pieces get hard.
  • Add 2-3 drops of vanilla essence to the syrup coated papaya pieces.
  • Divide the papaya pieces equally into three parts.
  • Add 1 drop of red colour in a bowl and mix one part of the sugar coated papaya pieces into it.
  • Repeat the same with green colour and yellow/blue colours to the other two portions.
  • Now keep these papaya pieces soaked in colour and sugar syrup aside for 12-24 hours so that they sweeten and colour properly.
  • After 12-24 hours take out the pieces from sugar syrup, sieve and place them on a wire net placed on top of the plate so that extra sugar syrup is removed.
  • Let it dry in air completely.
  • Store the tutti fruity in air tight containers.
