  • 1 liter - Milk
  • 1 tbsp - Curd (Yoghurt)
  • 1.5 tbsp - Lemon Juice or 2 tbsp - Vinegar
  • How to Make Homemade Cream Cheese:

    1. Boil milk, add lemon juice and stir continuously until the whey water and cheese separates
    2. Turn off the heat.
    3. Now pour this into a muslin cloth and drain the water.
    4. Then wash the residue in cold water twice at least to get rid of the lemon flavour
    5. Leave it aside, keeping a container under it to catch drippings, for 15 minutes so that the water drains.
    6. Then add curd and mix well.
    7. Now grind this mixture to a smooth paste.
    8. Now transfer paste to the muslin cloth and hang it for 5-6 hours, till all the liquid is drained completely.
    9. You can place a container under the hanging to collect the dripping.
    10. Then open and collect cream cheese in a bowl and refrigerate it overnight.
