  • 300 ml - water
  • 200 g - bitter chocolate
  • 3 tsp - cocoa
  • 2 tsp - instant coffee power
  • 4 tbsp - Sugar
  • 1 to 2 drops - Almond essence
  • 1 to 2 - Egg yolks
  • How to Make Hot Chocolate Sauce:

    1. Put 3 tbsp of water, cocoa and instant coffee powder on direct heat on the top of a double boiler.
    2. Stir until the water boils and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
    3. Remove it from the heat and stir in the broken up chocolate and sugar to it.
    4. Replace it with simmering water and stir until the chocolate melts.
    5. Now add almond essence and rest of the water.
    6. Stir gently until it gets well mixed.
    7. Add just enough liquid to achieve the consistency you want.
    8. If it is a little too thin for your liking or you want a thick sauce, beat 2 egg yolks in a bowl with a teaspoon of water; beat the warm sauce gradually into it.
    9. Return the pan to a double boiler and reheat very gently.
    10. Serve at once or after it gets chilled.
