Ingredients

  • 1 lb - Prawns.
  • 2 tbsp - Tamarind paste.
  • 2 tsp - Chilli powder.
  • 2 pinch - Turmeric.
  • 2-3 - onions, medium size, chopped.
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger, finely chopped.
  • 3 - tomatoes, medium size.
  • Salt to taste.

How to Make Hot n Spicy Prawn Curry

  • Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. When hot, add the onions and ginger and saute it.
  • Add tomatoes and saute well.
  • Add prawns to this, along with chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
  • Keep frying till the prawns are half cooked.
  • Mix the tamarind paste in a cup of water and add to the prawns.
  • Add more water if required.
  • Let it cook with the lid closed in medium heat.
  • When the curry is cooked and is thick, add curry leaves.
  • This can be eaten with rice and chapattis.
