  • 1/2 cup - yellow cornmeal
  • 1/2 cup - rolled oats
  • 1 cup - sour yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp each - Mustard Seeds +urad dal
  • 1 Green chilli
  • 1/2 tsp - eno salt or baking soda
  • A few - Cashew nuts
  • A few Curry leaves
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • How to Make Instant Cornmeal and Oats idli:

    1. Heat few drops of oil, splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal.
    2. Add the cashew nuts, chopped green chillies, curry leaves, and fry until the cashews turns brown.
    3. Meanwhile mix the cornmeal, oats, sour yogurt in a bowl, add this tempered spices to them and finally add the eno salt
    4. Stir quickly and pour batter to the greased idli plates
    5. steam in idly cooker for 15-20 mins
    6. Serve.
