  • Rice - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1 cup
  • Milk - 4 cups
  • Cashew nuts - 10, cut into half
  • Raisins - 10
  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Ghee
  • How to Make Instant Paal Payasam:

    1. Mix washed rice with sugar and milk.
    2. Pour into a pressure cooker.
    3. Cook on medium flame till it blows 2 whistles.
    4. Bring the flame to low and slow cook for 20 minutes.
    5. Let it cool.
    6. In a pan, roast cashew nuts and raisins in ghee and add it in to the payasam (kheer).
    7. Garnish with cardamom powder and mix well.
