Mix all the ingredients together except the oil. Add enough water to make a batter of pouring consistency. You can use it at once. But if time permits, leave it covered for 15 mins.
Mix well before use. If you find it slightly thick, add a little water.
Heat a tawa, preferably a nonstick one, and grease very lightly. Pour 1-2 ladlesful of batter, according to the size that you want. Rotate the tawa in a circular fashion so that the batter spreads in a thin circle. Fold the dosa in three, serve with coconut chutney.
